Curly Hair, Don't Care!

Hi there my lovelies,

Today I'm here to talk to you about hair! Whether you love it or hate it we all have it. So this is my guide to taming your curls and claiming back your hair!

Here are my simple steps to perfect heat free curls!

~ Shower, wash and condition your hair with John Frida's Curl Secrets shampoo amd conditioner to prep your hair for the perfect curls!

~ Dry your hair with the fabulous Aquis hair towel (Read my review on this blog!)

~ Twist your hair into two space buns while you do your makeup to complete your look!

~ Undo the buns to reveal the most amazing curls that you should separate with your fingers

Love that Lace

Hello lovelies!

Today I'm here with another fashion 101 to get your 2018 kick-started with style knowledge!

The topic for today's discussion is a trend which can be both ultra feminine and edgy and is perfect for the upcoming Spring/Summer season. It is of course lace.

This may seem daunting for some of you, or just remind you of weddings but have no fear! Lace can be worn for an everyday look: no husbands or posh parties required.

So without further ado, here are my top tips for wearing lace everyday...

~ T-shirts - A layering staple which is perfect for the upcoming Spring season! Whether you go fully lace or lace detailed there is no end of lacey style tops and tees on the market now! Simply style with jeans and boots and you are good to go girl!

~ Bralettes - These flirty pieces are perfect for adding lace to your wardrobe! These add comfort and sex appeal to a casual off the shoulder jumper in a second, keeping you on trend and feel fine. A huge favourite of mine to wear on chilled days with some amazing Victorias Secret bralettes around at the moment.

~ Jewellery - This may seem a strange one, but for an edgy look this season invest in a lace choker to give your look that feminine edge!

~ Dresses - This is a classic! You may think that lace dresses scream old fashioned but I am here to convince you otherwise! There are some amazingly sexy and fabulous dresses out there capturing this trend in bodycon styles as well as playsuits too! Check out Pretty Little Thing and Missguided for some lace style this season!

Hello there my lovelies,

It's always the season for a little black dress, even when your New Years resolution was to wear more colour!

However, the big question now is, how do I style a black dress differently from the last time? And then how do I style it differently next time? This is where I come in as today I'm sharing my top LBD styling tips!

Here we go...

Jewellery - Dress it up or play it down jewellery is an effortless and easy way to switch up your LBD look! This makes sure that your favourite outfit will never look the same again.

Eye Make-up - This may sound like an obvious one, but being experimental with your eye makeup can make a huge difference to your look! Try investing in a dark blue or metallic eyeliner or switching it up with a colourful crease cut.

Jacket - If like me you can't stand being cold a jacket is a must on a night out! Instead of the classic leather jacket, swap for a lighter denim or colourful alternative to make your LBD a fresh look!

Jumpsuit January

Hello there lovelies,

As you may have guessed from today's title, we're talking jumpsuits. This is a wardrobe staple that is perfect for an evening meal, squad cocktails and for those nights when out turns into out out.

This versatile piece is stylish and sassy so fulfils my 2018 style criteria! However, they can be hard to find a good fit, in a colour you love while not looking like a strange spandex clad creature from the days of StarTrek.

Never fear, here is my list of the best places to buy and my top tips for choosing the perfect style...

Top Tips!

~ Pick a jumpsuit which seamlessly blends the top and bottom half. This avoids having a seem across your hips making the jumpsuit out of proportion

~ Look at the length of the leg. This one is especially important for my shorter sisters out there, if like me you find that the leg lengths are often too long, try ordering an ankle length jumpsuit so if it is too long no one will tell!

~ Lose leg trousers and a tighter top half, help to cover any fitting issues that may occur if it's not a 100% perfect fit!

Monthly Make Up Spotlight ~ January

Hello Lovelies!

Welcome to my new segment for 2018! This is a monthly review of my favourite makeup buy to help all of you gorgeous guys and gals out there decide what beauty brands to splurge on.

To kick start the season I thought I'd begin with a long-standing favourite of mine that was replenished this Christmas...

The Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette.

I love this palette as the mixture of matte and shimmer shadows allows you to seamlessly mix day to night looks easily. These shadows also have mainly brown undertone which I feel highlights and compliments my orange toned hazel eyes.

All of the Urban Decay Naked palettes are highly pigmented and long lasting making them an amazing investment buy!

If you aren't sure which palette would suit you best, here is a rundown to give you some extra inspiration...

Naked - This is perfect for a beginner who loves a wide variety of shades to chose from. In my opinion more for evening wear, as some of the shadows, you may not get much use out of otherwise, for example, the blue-toned silver shade Gun Metal.

Naked 2 - This is perfect for all of you brown-eyed beauties, with lighter shades such as foxy and tease for every day, then the darker shimmers such as YDK for that evening smokey eye perfection.

Naked 3 - With its peachy pink tones and warmer shimmered shadows this is gorgeous with blue eyes as the contrast really draws out the amazing blues! These lighter shadows are also lovely on the paler skin as it creates warmth and depth.

Naked Smokey - The perfect night out palette! Smoke those eyes with the super soft brush as well as the blendable darker shadows.

Naked Heat - This is next on my purchase list for summer as these shades remind me of sandy beaches and long summer nights! These hot pinks and blendable peaches with darker colours for those summer parties is the go-to for your travel bag!

2018 Lets Hit It!

Happy New Year!

Here we are at the start of another year, and lets be honest for alot of us 2017 wasn't amazing! So much changed for everyone around the globe, making it a blessing and a lesson.

So here's to a haealthy, happy and successful 2018 and to kick it off here is a run down of my own resolutions to make this year, the year of Lotty.

~ Drink more water - I've always felt an affinaity with the water and often thought of myself as a mermaid onland. So this love of water as well as its major health benefits make it my goal! Keep an eye out on here for how im going to achieve it too!

~ Wear more colour - I love my majorly monochrome wardrobe but this year, it's time for a change so injecting some colour seems like the perfect solution.

~ Care Less - This one has a special place in my heart. This year I intend on focusing on me and making myself a priority to achieve my goals and do what makes me happy! This leads me onto my final resolution

~ Blog More - Blogging makes me so happy as I feel that I can truly be myself and express myself here to all you lovely people reading and liking my instagram, and I cant wait to share more of my journey with you!

I wish you the happiest and best of new years and I cannot wait to share this new start with all of you. We have 365 blank pages to fill, make it a perfect story!

The Steps ...

1 - Apply Boing Concealer to any blemishes, redness or pimples.

2 - Apply Foxy across the entire eyelid

3 - Pat verve from the inner corner of the eye to the centre

4 - Place suspect in the eye crease

5 - Apply YDK to the outer corners of the eye

6 - Blend through with Pistol

7 - Fill in your brows with the amazing Fool Proof Brow Powder

8 - Line your eyes with the Natural Collection Liquid Liner a tighter line across the eyelid into a flick of your choice.

9 - Tight line your upper water line with the Body Shop Black liner and your lower waterline with the NYX liner

10 - Reapply Verve for that added sparkle

11 - Apply Boing Under eye concealer

12 - Place Hoola bronzer to highlight your cheekbones and jawline

13 - Add the Bare Minerals powdered blush in your favourite shade and blend!

14 - Apply Benetint to your lips for that lasting pop of colour

15 - Set with Hello Flawless Powder
