Hello there my lovelies!

Today i'm here with a lifestyle post for you! I'm going to be telling you my favouite winter activites, drinks and little things to do to make you smile this snowy December.

I know it can be depressing when you're cold, tired and waiting for those new year celebrations to start, so i'm here with my top 10 things to do, drink and eat this cold season to cheer you up and fill you with festive spirit!

1 - Baileys Hot Chocolate ~ Need I say anymore... This is my life blood in winter!

2 - Catch up with old friends ~ This is the perfect time of year for a catch up when everyone has returned home from university and travelling for the holidays. So plan a date and catch up with your long gone bestie!

3 - Invest in a new cozy jumper ~ This one is always a cute and practical winter pick me up! Spluge on a new jumper this season to keep you warm and put a smile on your face with some retail therapy!

4 - Visit a Christmas market ~ This never fails to put me into the christmas spirit, and as you can see from my instagram (looksbylotty) this year is no exception!

5 - Grab a festive drink ~ This is a favouirte of mine and always lifts my spirits! Switch up your morning coffee regular for a festive treat to add some sparkle and christmas magic to the rest of your day.

6 - Sing! ~ Singing is a huge part of my life as a musical theatre buff and performer but I believe that carols at christmas and all of those cheesy hits we hear year in and year out really do raise a smile! So put your favourite christmas hit on and sing your heart out!

7- Lush it up! ~ Another one of my favouite winter me time picke me ups is grabbing a festively sented bath bomb from lush to make my bath time extra luxurious!

8 - Plan for the sales! ~ Look ahead to boxing day and January bargins through scrowering through those high end websites you've been browsing for months! This is a fantatsic way to while away an hour or two... or ten

9 - Festive Film Time ~ We all have those films that we watch every year and always put a smile back on our faces no matter how many times we've seen them before. For me its National Lampoons Christmas Vaction (If you've never seen it watch it... NOW)

10 - Tis the Season for love and family ~ Recconect with those closest to you this holiday season to bring endless smiles and create happy memores with your treasured family and loved ones. After all chirstmas time is family time.

I hope you've enjoyed these tips and comment on my posts if you try out any of them! I'd love to hear from you!

Have an amazing day!
See you soon!

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you're having a good start to the week! I'm here today to share with you my favourites new and old from January 2107...

First up to bat is my book of the month Girl Boss, by Sophia Amoruso founder and CEO of Nasty Gal Vintage. It's a biographical, business inspiration filled novel about the steps to business success and becoming a Girl Boss. It's well worth a read if you want to build your own business or if you just need some motivation to get up and make a difference!

Next, is the Slissie. I was lucky enough to be sent one of these to test out for you guys! It's a device that helps to cut cravings and stop snacking! It's so simple and easy to use making it into my favourites this month. Check them out at www.slissie.co.uk

Then it's one of my favourite Benefit make up kits, The Bronze of Champions. This includes the amazing Hula bronzer as well as They're Real mascara and Hula lip gloss, and is on my list as it's been brightening up my winter complexion that glow of summer, while being easy to apply and beautifully packaged!

My Pandora Rose Galaxy bangle also features as I love it's simplicity and elegance. Plus it brightens and adds to any outfit. I love it. Lastly, my Jack Wills body butters have been keeping my skin fresh this winter with their floral spring scents that have set me up for next season!

That's all for today, have a magical Monday and i'll see you soon

Hey there my lovelies,

Last night I went to a Ceilidh and my initial thought was what the hell is one of those and what do I wear? Fear not, i'm here to spread light on the subject and give you the insight of what to wear and how amazing one actually is...

So a Ceilidh (pronounced Kayleigh) is a huge party with music and dancing, but the big difference is you're taught all the dances as you go along. This may sound scary or really dull but it's actually so fun and funny trying to learn and remember lots of different dances of different styles and seeing everyone around you move!

Next question... what to wear! Unlike the club this isn't the time for a tight dress and sky high stilettos, trust me you will rip your dress or fall over or if you're me both. So I chose the more practical but still stylish red winter florals skater dress from jack wills, with a statement necklace and chunky black heels that I could dance the night away in.

If you get the chance head down to a Ceilidh with your girls and dance the night away with music, cocktails and country dance steps!

I've been lucky enough to go the the home of Shakespeare Stratford - upon - Avon last week to see the RSC's production of the Tempest and for a look around the beautiful town! Here's my thoughts and some things to see and do...

~ Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage are beautiful buildings with so much history so I'd defiantly recommend checking them out to get your fill of culture.

~ Shopping. There are so many lovely shops in Stratford including Lush, Jack Wills and Joules as well as amazing boutiques and small businesses such as  Roly's Fudge which is amazing!

~ While being home to many of the large restaurant chains there are so many pubs and shops that serve incredible food for really reasonable prices! We are in Hoorays! Check out my Instagram @hellolottyx for a peak at the amazing hot chocolate we had!

~ The theatre doe not disappoint being a stagey person I had high expectations and they met all of them from the theatre itself to the gift shop and not forgetting the amazing production with CGI effects and fantastic actors, costumes and set it was a treat!

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you're all having a fabulous day so far! today I'm going to talk you through how to style your make up for high next jumpers because let's be honest all the attentions going to be on your face, but you don't want your jumper to be covered in foundation, so heres my top tips...

~ Make sure your foundation is the exact match to your skin tone: If you tend to wear a darker foundation this ones for you, because your neck line is higher you don't want to be blending your foundation too far down your neck and ruin the inside of your jumper! So my top tip is to go for  shade closer to your natural skin tone so you don't have to apply it as far down, saving your jumper and you time!

~ All about the eyes: Today is an eye day, focus on creating dramatic eye looks rather than lips to draw the attention up and away from your neck line, try small eyeliner flicks or a darker shade complimenting your eyes! Depending on how high your neckline is it'll also stop you smearing lipstick on your collar.

~ Do your make-up last: This is a big one for you gals who like to apply your make-up before styling the perfect outfit. As your neckline is higher you're not only going to get makeup residue in the inside of your jumper you also risk smudging your perfectly matching eyeliner or your new lipstick. Not good!

I hope you've enjoyed todays post! Keep checking back for more, fashion, fitness and beauty tips as well as collaborations with Harnesses by Nichole and Cherrie Bumble Activewear!
Have a great day, see you soon!

Hello my Lovelies,

I've been lucky enough to collaborate with Aquis who create the most amazing hair towels that naturally dry your hair without doing any of the damage, as well as coming in the cutest packaging, take a look...

I must admit I was sceptical as my hair is very thick and long, that anything other than a hairdryer would actually work to dry my hair, but I was amazed that in the same amount of time or even less my hair was dry and without frizz! I'd really recommend this to everyone especially if you use a lot of heat on your hair regularly and want to cut down! Plus the bag is travel friendly and the tie can all be used as a hair bobble in a pinch!

Overall I was really impressed with this product for its size, fantastic hair drying power as well as it's super stylish and minimalist look! Check them out online at https://aquis.com and don't forget to follow me on instagram @hellolottyx

Have a great day and i'll see you soon!

Hello there my lovelies,

I hope you've had an amazing weekend! I certainly did as I treated myself to some Jessica Wright boots! Aren't they amazing...

I love the lace detailing on the side of them making them perfect for a chilled night out or even full scale partying! Also the soles have gel built in to cushion your feet so you don't even feel like youre wearing heels! I love them. You can style them down with jeans and a lacey jumper for a day with the girls or with a jumpsuit or party dress for a big night out as they have the bright gold glittered bottom too, which is one of my favourite features!

Check them out online or if you're local to Shrewsbury at the Boutique where I got mine!

Hello my Lovelies,

I hope you're all having an amazing week so far! Today i'm talking about one of 2017's top trends that was seen on the runways of fashion weeks the world over which is of course colour blocking! Here's my everyday interpretation...

So I've stuck to a smaller colour pallet of three colours, green red and blue, with a large checked skirt combining the three in large squares paired with a plain green jumper. I've toned down the trend but you can go as far as you like with large block of clashing vibrant yellows, with pink and black or even less adventurous with a black dress including a purple panel. Don't be afraid to pair different colours and styles, so switch it up and see what works for you!

Thats all for today guys don't forget to follow me on instagram @hellolottyx and keep checking out this blog for upcoming gym posts and collaborations with Harnesses by Nichole and SY1 Protein, to name a few!

Hello there my Lovelies,

I hope you're having an amazing Monday! I'm here to talk to you about my post-gym makeup routine...

Wearing make-up during your workout is bad for your skin on so may levels due to the the amount of sweat and other toxins that your skin produces when you exercise so no makeup workouts is a must! My quick and easy post gym look consists of Clinique tinted moisturiser rubbed into the skin for my base, using my benefit smoking eyes kit for my lids and brows then to finish this simple eye look a dash of mascara and white eyeliner on my lower waterline. Finally bare minerals love radiance loose powder blush to finish with benefits Hello Flawless powder to set.

I hope that gave you some quick makeup inspiration and that you've had an amazing Monday!

Hello my lovelies,

I'm having a relaxing Sunday catching up on my Netflix, complete with a facemask and cup of tea, so I thought i'd talk to you guys about my favourite series and programmes at the moment, so if you're looking for a new show to get hooked on or a documentary to sink your teeth into, you've come to the right place!

So one of my favourite series at the moment is Always Sunny in Philedelphia which is perfect as it's amazingly funny and only 20min episodes, perfect for falling asleep, waking up to or simply watching when you're short on time!
The Next series is Black Mirror, created by the darkly talented mind of Charlie Brooker it gives a creepy yet addictive view into a dystopian future that is scarily believable.
On the documentary front Killswitch was a great watch if you're interested in the darker side of the internet and hacking, but my personal favourite has been re watching Planet Earth after the release of Planet Earth II last year which was so interesting and packed with footage of cute, dangerous and just freaky creatures!                                                            Also the new series of Unfortunate Events was released yesterday and it is amazing!

Hope this has given you some Netflix inspiration and that you have a relaxing Sunday.

Hello there my lovelies,
Today I'm taking you through my everyday makeup that I've adopted for this cold January, have you seen theres snow! None the less heres my look...

~ Then I fill in my brows with the amazing Gimme Brow from Benefit, my favourite Brow product since it's release late last year, in the shade 3
~ Next for my eyes I've been using my Benefit 'Worlds Famous Neutrals' Palette because its, quick easy and stylish, without the need for brushes so great when you're in a rush!

Hey there my lovelies,

How are we today? I'm very excited to tell you that I have been lucky enough to secure a contract with Model Agency UK after my test shoot in London last Saturday! So here's a run down of my experience and some of the amazing images I came out with...

So the day started with my hair and make-up being retouched and altered to fit the requirements of the shoot, so I had a natural pink toned smokey eye with natural lip and cheek colours and contour. As well as this my hair was straightened and then re-curled to give me this amazing volume and style.

I had to take three outfits ranging in formality and the shoot began! It was a lot of fun and a great experience as I learnt which positions and poses worked for me and come out with these amazing images to show you a few! It was a fantastic day as I've always loved fashion and this has combined my passion for photography, style and of course beautiful clothes!

Hello my lovelies

How are you today? I'm going to be telling you about my collaboration with Hidoll who were kind enough to send me two sets of their fabulous hair ties!

These hair ties are colourful, fun and durable plus affordable. They hold your high tight and in place even during a spin class! I was so impressed with them. They don't damage or leave any kinks in your hair too. I wore them to the gym and afterwards on my wrist as they look amazing with jewellery and don't harm your wrist by leaving those horrible imprints! I'd really recommend them to you guys who are concerned about style and your hair!

That's it for today I hope you have a wonderful week and I'll see you soon!

Hello my lovelies,

I was so happy to get back into the gym this week and start fulfilling my commitment to make 2017 my year.

I'm going to share my workout commitment with you guys so we can all commit together and support each other, or if your just nosey like me you can follow my fitness journey and se what happens! So i've decided to do three organised classes a week, one spin, one HIIT training session and one resistance class and then two hours of free gym time. This may sound like a lot but as each class in under an hour it goes quickly and even better if you have a friend there to cheer you on and have a blast with!

Hello there my lovelies,

How are you today? Today i'm going to be talking you through one of my favourite eye makeup looks thats perfect for going out or just brightening up a dull January day.

So firstly I place suspect from my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette in my crease and then foxy on the inner corner of my eye, then blend. Next I tapped on pistol into the outer corner of my eye and blend it outwards. I then placed verve onto the centre of my eyelid over white eyeliner which gives the colour a more pigmented and bold look, perfect for a night out. I then blended verve from the centre to the inner corner of my eye with booty call, and outwards towards the outer corner of my eye with YDK. I blend all this together to create a silver shimmering ombre effect, while dusting foxy under my brow as a highlight.

I then used my Natural Collection liquid eyeliner, which is honestly my favourite and such a good buy, in a thin line across my lid and into a subtle flick to compete the look. However no eye look would be complete without brows! I brush my Benefit Gimme Brow in the shade 3 through my brow to define and solidify the shape and then go through with Browzings to tame any stray hairs into my everyday brow shape.

I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial and recreate this look at home, if you do tag me in your instagram @hellolottyx and have a great day!
